Coaches Appreciation Dinner and Awards

M-A Little League wrapped up the 2019 season with its annual Coaches Appreciation Dinner held at Lutticken’s. It was a fun time to catch-up and share stories from the year.

Also, the league announced its most prestigious awards:

Rory Fuerst Award - This is M-A Little League’s highest honor which recognizes a person who has continually given to the greater Little League family and M-A community, leaving a lasting impact on the league. This year’s award goes to John Molise. In addition to being a long-time coach and board member for M-A, John was instrumental in building the financial foundation for the League so we could expand activities, make field improvements, and much more.

Scott Barnum Award - The Scott Barnum Award is awarded to the coach who best exemplifies the spirit of M-A Little League: "Play Fair, Strive to Win, Do One’s Best." The league offers congratulations to Pat Galligan, who also won this award in 2017, for his consistent dedication to the players and their development.

Special President’s Award - This year the league offers a well-deserved thank you to Bernice van der Meer. Bernice is a long-time board member and has done a tremendous amount of work across a wide variety of roles, including working as the registrar, upgrading our technology platform, handling uniforms, and much, much more

Thanks again to all of the coaches!  Congrats to John, Pat and Bernice!

Fall Ball Wrap-up

Thanks again to all of the players, parents, and coaches for a fun Fall Ball season!

Since Fall Ball is focused on player development, the season began with hitting/fielding clinics, added team play, and concluded with the fun jamboree tournaments.  Both the Juniors and Seniors divisions had exciting championship games!

Also, M-A had two Fall Ball teams of 13-14 year-olds playing at the District 52 level this year.

Look forward to seeing everyone in the spring!
